 This painting was done live on my twitch channel as part of the new statue series!  Ancient Greek and Roman statues have always been a source of inspiration and learning for many artists and teachers alike, and now they will continue to serve as an inspiration for me!     Painted on 18" x 24" Strathmore paper with Daniel Smith watercolor paint.  Only the color 'Lamp Black' was used with a size 4 sable watercolor brush.   This painting references a statue of Neptune that currently resides at LACMA.  The sculpture was made by Lambert-Sigisbert Adam (France, Nancy, 1700-1759).
